Once upon a time there was a eyeball. It fell off of Max and it went to the forest. The trees got real. They put the eyeball on them. It made them walk. They went to Max’s park. They killed all the park’s things to play on because they’re bad. Max was losing his eyeball. He tried to get it back and he went to the park and he saw the trees. They kill Max. The end.
The first time I read this I failed to grasp the depth. After several recitations, though, I feel moved to ask, "could this be the single most valuable slice of literature this century?"

Excellent work. Max is a natural.
It creeps me out that the eye went to the forest. I think it would get covered with leaves and dirt as it rolled there.
Dean, you have a great voice. Perhaps a dramatic reading of this story in mp3 format to fill the audio book void?
